Water stuffers.

It's not a ### toy it's a sausage stuffer that uses water presure from your kitchen tap to push the piston that fills your sausage casing. Does sound like a ### toy eh?

   I like sausage.

I have never heard of one of those... we are, however planning on purchasing a grinder/sausage maker. Anyone know a good brand , preferably electric and not overly big?

I helped a friend make sausage once using the water pressure rig. I think the horizontal, moulded plastic hand cranked is better. One time we borrowed an old hand grinder with attachment that had been converted to work on a 1/2 inch variable speed drill. At slow speeds it was a real pain to grind as any little bit of silverskin plugged the cutters. Getting frustrated I wound it up and my dad could hardly fill the hopper fast enough. Slow speed worked well for stuffing.

Years ago my buddy and I hooked up an old 1/2 variable speed drill to a hand crank grinder to grind up a large batch of moose meat . Until we got the hang of the trigger, we had to hold the meat tray almost horizontal...the ground meat came out so fast . To liven things up a bit (when it was my turn to run the drill), buddy dropped a small bone into the grinder ...the torque practically threw me across the room ! He thought it was funny.
For quite a few years now , I've been using my old metal lathe hooked up to a hand crank grinder (a #8 Porkert)....but would be nicer to have a unit one could place on the kitchen table . I like the home-built one in SausageMania .
