waterfowl regs?

hi there. this is the first year I will be trying my hand at duck and/or goose hunting. I read somewhere that waterfowl hunting hours were limited to half hour before sunrise till noon. searched everywhere and havent been able to confirm or disprove this, am I mistaken? Could someone point me to the proper regulations? Thanks.

Where did you read that?
It has been 1/2 before sunrise, 1/2 after sunset for ever....
 
Like I said, don't remember where, just wanted to clear it up. Thanks.
I thought it sounded stupid, but so many of the rules that are true don't make a lot of sense either.
 
You might have been reading the Old Turkey Regs. Which have also changed now. This is why it is important to read them every year.

Some conservation areas that provided a waterfowl program may imposed a time limit i.e. hunting stops at 12:00pm. They do this to allow the non-hunting public access to the area for the remainder of the day.

Ontario is 1/2 hr before sunrise until 1/2 hr after sunset for waterfowl. Some prairie provinces don’t allow afternoon hunting for certain species of geese in the afternoons until after a specified date and latitude. Manitiba at one time had no goose hunting after 12 noon but not sure if they still do? Here in my area of SK there is no afternoon hunting of Canada Geese allowed until after Oct 15 if memory serves?
