WBY-X Vanguard 2

A Wby. Vanguard 2 is a Firearm made by Howa (Japanese) made to spec for Weatherby.
The series 2 is the two stage trigger and second generation of the Vanguard line .
They are a well made gun ( my .02 opine ) for the money and are pretty accurate as well.
They can be a tad heavy for toting over hill and over dale , but they do get the job done.
The plastic blued ones are pretty plain jane, but the wooden ones do have some character.
So, what is the Weatherby X you are speaking of tjmiles?

I believe the Vanguard is a bit of a "sleeper" as far as Rifles go. Not priced outrageously.
Quality is good, they are solid rifles, and generally very accurate. [even the S1 Vanguards]
However, I am personally a wood/blued type, and will take that over a synthetic.camo every time.
At present I have 3 Vanguards with walnut stocks, and 2 with synthetic.
All shoot very well, indeed. I love the trigger on the S2 models.
