A friend of mine just picked up an old clunker British double barreled muzzle loading percussion shotgun. This thing was actually in pretty good condition before someone left it in a basement for a few decades to rust up. I am not particularly interested in this type of stuff, but then he told me to look at the proof marks on the bottom of the barrel. There is a bloody broad arrow over WD! Now this is an old "W. Richards" damascus barrel 12 gauge percussion! Anyone out there have any idea how this came to be?
