I can't speak for "them"
I can only speak for myself as a repeat customer of Wanstall's....... My simple opinion as a customer.
Lame promo.

No need for Whambulances or anti Self-Entitlement officers.

I must say it's nice to see Wanstalls go after the high end 1911 market though and I will be stopping in next time I'm out that way..... :)
 
Although I haven't bought from Wanstalls in the past (they were out of stock when I tried recently) I will certainly consider them in the future....especially as a 1911 will be one of my next 2 or 3 purchases.

I'm with Can-down in thinking it's nice to see the large stock of mid and higher end 1911's (good for you Wanstalls!) but I also think the intro of the "House of 1911" was poorly done and a bit of a letdown. Not whining....not crying....just stating an opinion.

On another note it never fails to amaze me how some of the posters here fawn all over the business members and spring to their defense in the face of the slightest criticism. You'd think the business was doing them some sort rare and marvelous favour by agreeing to take their money. :confused:

I'd view it as less about defending retailers, and more expressing perfectly justified contempt about some of the reactions posted in this thread.
