1000 feet per second........optimum speed for air rifle 177. Not sure why the preoccupation beyond that. If it aint accurate whats the point.

It is a single shot, break barrel pellet rifle. It is not made to shoot BB's. Like any air rifle, the muzzle velocity will depend on the weight of the pellet used. A rifle such as the one featured in the OP is best suited for a heavier pellet over 10 grains. A pellet with an MV over about 950 fps is going to experience trans sonic turbulence that will make the pellet less accurate. This is true for any pellet with a diabolo shape, which is to say it has a narrow waist in the middle.

Thanks for clearing that up. You should explain that to the OP so they don't come across looking like some off shore spammers. I couldn't find the airgun section on their site, and 319 U.S. for that rifle is no deal.
