Pretty sure I have posted b4 about this. Mayhaps if we get a show of hands we could drum up some business for one of the experts to come on out and learn us some shi@

I was at Whistler for a few days in mid july when my M14 tools were parked in Calgary for the 24 and 25 July 2010 TSE hosted M14 clinics. Problem was I had to move my son from Kelowna to Creekside. Then help him find a place, settle him in and the find a job (Earl's Rest. at Blackcomb Village now). There goes any plans to run a clinic in the GVRD area.

Sorry to be the carrier of bad news.... At least we were able to make Calgary and Wpg happen.

Cheers,
Barney

I would be more than happy to oblige but as Hungry will tell ya, most clinics require a "pointman" to arrange location and take care of details at said location, ie: dates of availlability for the space, if it is a range club house, fees for day use of club house and possibly range for short time in afternoon. does the location have seating, power, work area ect.

for the past 3 years of hosting clinics in the lowermainland, it was easy enough to host them in my residence, utilizing whatever space we had to have a great time talking, learnin and tinkerin. My move to forest fire central hehehe in the 100 mile area kinda put an end to monthly clinics in my house :D

so, my schedule is completely booked from now until December 10th, but after that I am availlable to come down to the coast to do a clinic if someone wants to take the reigns and find a suitable location for 12 to 20 ish people, with space for instruction and tinkering.

funnily enough this weekend was to be the first annual cariboo m14 clinic weekend but the idea didn't catch on LOL (perhaps next year) ........ was cool though cuz Rugerman stopped in this mornin with a couple of his rifles and brought his son along who is also an avid m14 owner. I suppose we had a little mini clinic the 3 of us.

anyhow, after december 10th i'm availlable, anyone wanting to get a clinic organized in the LMZ....... email me details and possible dates/costs

I'm not in the LML(hour North of Whistler), but if someone sets up a clinic down there, count me in. Be great if it was a month or two down the road as I don't even take my PAL course till this coming Thurs.,let alone have a M14 to bring to a clinic(though I have already purchased my M305, just can't be transferred to me from CanAm till I get my license). Regardless, I'd still attend if I had a rifle or not.

I posted this in the Hungry Seminat thread as well........

I have the last Hungry B.C. Seminar that I organized and was held at Abbotsford Fish & Game a few years back on DVD (2 DVDs).....

If someone is willing to make copies for those that are interested, I will send them a copy..........I don't have the time to make and mail out copies, but if someone else is willing to take time, I will pass a copy on to them at no charge...........:D

We went over the M14 basics ( disassembly, lubricationetc), rebarrelled a couple guns, removed Flash suppressors, installed cheekrests, and Steel bedded a couple of rifles, and talked about Canadian friendly companies and part that won't make your #### fall off........;)

Just shoot me a PM........

Who here would attend a December the 11th M14 clinc at poco gun club? If I can get atleast 10 or more people I can rent the hall and also get some range time for us to check out our tweaks after.
Sound interesting?
Hungry, M14Doctor, Lazerus2000 & Skullboy you would have to attend though, as I would be the blind showing the blind. If you know what I mean.
Also Skullboy if you want I could host your last M14 clinic on youtube and we could then sticky it for everyone else to see that can't make it to these clinic's.

sounds good Satain
if you can pull it off for that date, I'm in and will bring the tools and TonyG and his TIG machine,

maybe we can tempt Skullboy to join us ;)

call me later

Sorry, I can't come along to play :(

Got many matches and clinics here to (not necessarily M14, either) run for the ORA! Bummer!

Peace be to journey!

Barney

Definitely IN!!

New old fart here and definitely would drive my son and I down from Vernon!!
Thanks for thinking of us!!
Regards, Brian

Satain will run point man for the next West Coast m14 Support Group clinic in the lower mainland. We hope to host this for december 11th..... so pencil it down.
I have given Satain the list of requirements and he will keep me posted as to progress at the location as far as confirming the date.
I generally run a free clinic but have not had to travel to such an event in the past..... I just parked her in my living room LOL.
there will be a nominal fee for the event to cover costs only, for location rental and travel cost. As for range use, if we get access to the firing line, users will be responsible for thier own day card fees , seperate from the clinic. All these things will be addressed and detailed once an official Yay or Nay is given for the dates/location

So, stay tuned, i will make an official announcement in a new thread once I know for sure.
