We need a CZ/VZ-58 sub-forum here real bad.

Hey...

I just received my CZ-858 in the mail yesterday, I am absolutely blown away by the rugged simplicity and logical practicality of the design. Can't wait to get it out to a pit somewhere in the next few days.

I have pored over the sticky thread 3 times in total now, absorbing as much as I can each time. I have manually combed this section right back to day one for threads on this great rifle. One thing that baffles me is why we don't have a sub-forum dedicated to this awesome and unique weapon. It is different enough from everything else, and popular enough content wise, to support such an endeavour. A perfect example is the SKS forum under the milsurps. We wouldn't be diluting the original Black & Green section, we would be dividing and cleaning the slate for the good of everyone.

The sticky is a great resource, and an absolute abomination to try to comb through. Having a dedicated forum to the CZ/VZ-58 would allow us to keep a handful of critical sticky posts on field strip/cleaning, the Gremlin, optic solutions, etc.

How about it? I think the case is a slam dunk.

ps. I absolutely love the stock look and feel of this thing, I can't see slapping the black furniture on because the stock is like 2 inches longer and the original pulls in so nice and tight that I can't stop grinning... :)
 
I agree... We should have a VZ subforum.

The sticky is almost like a little forum of its own without any of the practical utility of a proper forum.
 
Shouldn't the AR get its own subforum and stickies too? It doesn't have a 300 page thread, but it does seem to make up a large number of threads here.

That is also not a bad idea.

We already have an SKS "sub-forum" in Milsurps. I think there is (or was planned) a CCW "sub-forum" in Handguns. We are currently lobbying on this thread for a CZ/VZ "sub-forum". Why not a 10/22 "sub-forum" in Rimfire?
 
^the 10/22 subforum was requested and denied.

The problem according to CGN staff is that if the 10/22 got a seperate forum then the rimfire forum would be tiny.
 
As for why we don't have an AR forum, this is already pretty well an AR forum. The 'other' black rifles don't have enough of a rabid following to justify their own forum - the CZ/VZ does.
 
There could always be a "CGN" affiliated forum created like milsurp and canada carry specially for the VZ58? Ive searched everywhere for a dedicated forum for the VZ and just can't find one.
 
Yes, a VZ sub-forum would be great.

In regards to the 10/22 sub-forum request, there are a few great ones fourms for that rifle already established on the net. However, there is no VZ sub-forum at all, anywhere (not that we know of ).
 
It won't happen. It took 2 years to get a sticky. Really. I had to use this just to get on the radar.
