We need a m6 scout copy made

I have had thee M6 Scouts over the years. I had one in 22LR /410 3" mag, another in 22 Mag/ 410 3" mag, and currently a 22Hornet/410 3" mag. I had a problem with the M6 in 22 Mag where the hammer fall would not always ignite the primer and sometimes I would have to recock it and drop the hammer again before it would fire. This current one is my best and I think the most practical I've owned as the shot shells in 2.5 would suffice for small game such as birds and rabbits but the 3" just chewed the hell out of everything. Thats ok because if I ever needed to drop anything bigger the 3" especially with slugs or the 22 Hornet it would be up to the task. Yes I remember buying them for around $150.00 in the late 70's and early 80's. Anyhow to try and keep the thread going here is a little picture of my M6. Oh by the way Wanstalls sells a short scabard say for the 8.5 Grizzly that the M6 fits perfectly and rides behing the seat of my Can Am Commander.

Regards
Jack

First sight of this rifle made me want to vomit!

But some basic research it sounds like a nifty little rifle, I wouldn't mind having one in my collection one day.

If we all email Norinco they might just make a copy. They likely already know the specs of it or are willing to buy their own to reverse engineer if they are going to be selling them. I already sent a detailed email to them for the M6 scout with original iron sights.

The commercial ones were made in Czechoslovakia. I wonder if the tooling still exists.
I still don't know why these have not been reintroduced.

i just utubed it,theres a guy talking about it, a camo version. looks a heck of a lot nicer than the stainless one, which i agree is darn ugly.

i want one now after seeing the footage. i skipped most of this thread so sorry if this has been beat to death. has a 4/15 ammo holder in stock and breaks in 2. seems really good.

Had to sell mine a few years ago and would like another but not at the stupid prices people are asking so I would definately be interested.

WRT the photo posted here:
This one predates the model with the trigger guard, no doubt added by the distributor's lawyers. Note that the firearm now folds more completely.
Also, with Cdn. legal barrels, the muzzles would be in line with the buttplate. Very handy.

To simplify manufacture a bit, a Savage style hammer nose selector could be used, rather than the push/pull of the original.

No it came with a trigger guard but I'm not a lawyer so I took the damn thing off so it would fold more completely which made it much handier.

It seems like it would be so easy to reverse engineer and build... The demensions are the easiest part of reverse engineering (afaik) and the m6 has no intensive manufacturing processes or difficult to reproduce materials.
