We need to support Maxime Bernier

It appears to me that there is not a standout conservative candidate in the pack. Some have a few conservative platforms but most if not all have liberal-socialist weak spots. Like supply management, corporate subsidies, etc
Bernier has some good ideas but electing a conservative leader from Quebecistan carries too much baggage. Max's problem is that we could not get him to end the Bilingual Commission and all the French crap taxpayers in the non-Quebec provinces must shoulder. We could not rely on him to end all Quebeckistan corporate welfare. Harper proved that a conservative government can obtain majority power without Quebeckistan.
Harper had 6 years in majority government to fix our problems, especially regarding firearms. He blew it and then lost.

This might not go over so well, but here it goes. He may currently be the best choice of the not so good options, but to be honest, I don't want another PM from Quebec.

He will get my vote for this and other reasons... got a CPC membership for the first time ever.

Me too, or at least for the first time since Phædra Campbell (aka Brian Mulroney's revenge) presided over the destruction of the Conservative party during her summer job as Prime Minister back in 1993.

Ya , I agree skynet, Maxime speaks fluent French and broken English, that should account for a few votes in La Belle Province that may turn into seats in the House of Commons. As for everything we are looking for , well, it's not all there , but with reader and subscriber input , just maybe our numbers and common sense toward gun classification will swing in our favor. Here's hoping he follows through on what he has promised so far. Remember , when they get to Ottawa, their hat some how fits a whole lot tighter and they have a tendency to change or forget what got them there, YOU and I.

Not crazy about some stuff O'Leary said about unions cause I'm in one and that's what supports my family and this expensive hobby of mine but I'll support Maxime Bernier.

Max has my vote. But there is NO Reason why FNs, HK91s and semi auto AKs should be banned and this should be revisited. I am grandfathered and I cannot take my rifles to the range.

There is NO reason with pre 1946 12.6 handguns or any short barrel handguns should be banned. Especially historically significant guns. They don't deserve the melting furnace for any 12.2, 12.3, 12.4, 12.5 or 12.6 after 1946 firearms.
MAX must be made aware of this. And pushed on this.

If they could even remove magazine limits that would be HUGE. The libs would go balistic crying there would by bullets spraying everywhere but time will show that will not happen. He even mentioned that competitive shooters have to use low capacity magazine when competing when other countries use standard capacity. Non restricted AR's and no mag limits would be fantastic

It all looks good. Im not too crazy about this part though:

That kind of puts the kibosh on removing stuff from the prohib list. It's good and bad though.

^^ this. I would love to be able to take some of my 12.6 out..to the range as a compromise. I may even consider joining the CPC. Still on the fence. However, Bernier may be the lesser of all evils.

PM

Well, I'm not sure if I'm proud or ashamed, but this is the first time in my 42 years of life that I've felt the need to join a political party --- 5 year membership purchased and I'm going to try to get more active on that front. Thanks for the heads up, Farmboy!

Same... I'm 34 but have never really been excited about any Canadian politician, Harper was admittedly better than who came before him or after him, but not by much.

With Bernier this is the best chance we have at a small "L" Libertarian government. It's going to boil down to O'Leary and Bernier... even if O'Leary wins, if Bernier finishes in a strong second it sends it a big message to the CPC party about what ppl want.

I really dont understand why people keep giving this guy any time at all. Are you looking for more or worse than what you already have?

We are Canada in name only.

The globalists have us by the short curlies.

By the time the next S/election rolls around, if it does, it ain't going to matter.

O'Leary is not a gun advocate, he's been very vocal about that in the past. He posted this video only to remove it within minutes and apologize for offending the snowflakes. O'Leary tried to appeal to gun owners, but instead he's proven to us that he'll turn his back on us and run at the first sign of trouble. If you're a gun owner in Canada there is one person that deserves your support, Maxime Bernier!
