We need to support Maxime Bernier

He's the best chance pro firearms candidate within the CPC with the best chance of winning the leadership. He's way ahead of the all the others in donations. he's got my vote.

Do not know why anyone would vote for Bernier, who could not handle his own life, let alone 30plus million people!
There is more than one thing to think of!

His problem is that he's only human, lol, and human males kufc up from time to time especially when we have normal desires, no matter which way we swing. I've ufcked up from time to time, especially where women are concerned so i see him as a normal guy who, hopefully, has learned from his mistakes. I'm an atheist but I still like "but for the grace of god go I".

A big thumbs up to you guys/gals who have bought a membership in the CPC for the first time. And a bigger thumbs up to those who have donated. You'll get most of it back when you file your income tax. C-68 turned me into a political animal; I even joined the Reform Party in 1996.

Bernier is within an arms reach, with the entire firearms community behind him he can easily defeat O'Leary. O'Leary's initial support is dwindling, people are realizing he's not a real conservative.

Beating OLeary for leadership, means nothing.

Beating Justin Trudeau for PM, is all that really matters.

Bernier's policies mean nothing, if he is unable to defeat Trudeau in the next Federal election. I guess it can be done, but it requires Justin to maintain his current level of retardation and limp-wristedness, for at least a couple more years.

That's a loooong time for the tide to turn; and who knows what kind of dirt they have on a lifer like Bernier.

I think Bernier will keep his promises to us, but he is not likely to beat boy-wonder. I think OLeary can beat Trudeau, but he will also turn against us at the drop of a hat. Actually, I think by going against gun owners, OLeary may be able to pick up quite a few liberal voters.

It's funny, but so much depends on how badly the economy will do, and how many more times Trudeau will keep screwing up.

Signed up.

Donated 500$ of my hard earned money.

The gamble is worth it.

Did the exact same thing only added a 4 yr membership. Bernier looks like the best on the field today he's holding his principles something rare in a politician.

I'll back this underdog any day over that narcissistic blowhard O'Leary.

Polls seem to show Bernier leading almost everyone amongst party members, non-party members, and in fundraising. He's one of the most likely Candidates to win the leadership, and one of the most likely to be able to win in a Federal election. And he's got the best policies on firearms in my opinion. That's the upside. The downside is O'Leary seems to be polling better. We need to make gun owners aware that O'Leary is anti gun, and we need to make O'Leary realize that being anti gun severely risks his chances of leading the Party.

If you are licensed, then ownership, ect is decriminalized. Unless you are saying we should all be allowed these privileges without the need for a license in the first place? (Which would be political suicide...)

I'm thinking more about guns that are suddenly changed to prohibited status where previously they were restricted or unrestricted.
Maxime covers this.
There're also the mags that seem to become prohibited whenever the RCMP change their minds. I guess he covered this as well.
Finally the storage laws are the main problem requiring interpretation by judges. It would be better to be fined than judged.
My point is, if the firearms act were decriminalized there would be less chance of harm to us by the RCMP.
Criminals will still threaten people or commit other crimes -- firearms laws are not needed to charge them.

I would like to see his platform not just on firearms but also immigration support for veterans, seniors, less fortunate and aboriginals. Clean up our country first policies. I would support him but just don't know where he stands on all the issues.

For the first time in my life, I have become a party member just so I can vote for Maxime. As a party, we cannot afford to elect a leader that will loose to JT in 2019. I don't make much money, but I will be donating what I can afford. I strongly encourage everyone that hasn't followed this route yet to do so.

Thank you very much Mr Claybuster for the clarifications on this subject. In this case it would be better to put no1 and no2. Would there be any advantage in only putting one choice ?

Well if you are like me and don't want to see O'Leary win then best to having more choices So Bernier, Sheer, O'toole - according to you preferences and no choice for O'leary

O'Leary would be a very poor choice that would stress the middle and lower class income brackets even more. Not that Wynne isn't already doing her best to drain Ontario of taxpayer's money while handing out overpaid management positions to her cronies.

Whats this guy got to say about taxes ? JT rolled back my TFSA to $5500, that cost me money, now the rumor is he is going to go after another %25-%30 of my Investments ... I cant stand this mother F*%#er !!!

Agree, this is my top three order, so far:
Bernier
O'Toole
Scheer

I am not sure who else I may list, and in what order, but I know for sure that O'Leary won't be on that list.

Frankly, if Stephen Harper returned to politics today, I'd put him at the top of the list. None of them are his measure, but that's what we have to work with.
