Some Chinese fishermen caught these in Taiwan Straits few days ago:

Can anyone identify the SMG in the middle? My first thought was the Floro MK9 but upon closer inspection it is something else, but definitely based on AR15.......

The article saide that it has a length of 71cm, weighted 3.15KG, in 5.56mm, and the weapon has engraved "L508120" and "USA" on it. When the weapon was recovered, the dust cover was open, the mag was empty, and the bolt locks back, wondered if it has been used during some firefight before it was dropped into the sea.....

The article also speculate that this carbine was could once belonged to some CIA SOG Field Operators.......

Is the one in the middle even an AR type? Unless its ####ed up doesnt look like its running a buffer tube..plus look at the bolt..

WTF is the middle one??? Looks like a 9mm sub, but couldn't be an AR type w/o the buffer and it has a RHS bolt handle. But the selector, mag release, and trigger guard look AR15ish.

It is most likely Taiwanese Mafia who lost the weapons in smuggling operation.

Those are Bushmaster-probably smuggled from the US. They probably got dumped/lost when the mafias were doing deals or crossing each other. Where does drug come from in Taiwan? Mainland China.....

time magazine: " Taiwan has some of the toughest gun-control laws in the world. Private ownership of firearms is largely outlawed; people convicted of illegally making, transporting or selling guns can face the death penalty. "

so you can imagine what a illegal firearm would sell for over there.

if over two weeks , 4 separate fishermen netted 4 firearms, my guess is that there is far more firearms down there, so yes, this was a gun smuggling operation, going to taiwan in a fishing boat in a busy fishing area. unfortunately for the smugglers/fishermen came upon a patrol boat and the cargo went over board.
