Weapons of the British Columbia Police

The 2, 1921 Thompsons at the Depot museum are in outstanding condition. If they were in the US, with their provenance, I am thinking they would be near $100,000 guns.

In the eighties, at a gun show in Victoria, I saw a very unusual 12 cavity .38 caliber bullet mould marked BCP.
The blocks were in three pieces . The center section had six half cavities on each side and each outer section had the corresponding six half cavities. Each outer section was hinged at the front on the center piece to open for emptying.
The sprue plate was a sliding piece that slid forward to break the sprue, and then the rear section could be lifted up to clear the mould for opening.
I've never seen another mould like it. It was quite heavy and it would require lots of heat to get it up to a good casting temperature. Regarding the size of the BCP members, it would take someone the size of Tarzan's stepbrother to cast with this mould for any length of time.
