Wearing a mask this hunting season?

I wear a mask because I like to take the path of least resistance. If a store requires it, I wear it. If the county:health unit requires it, I wear one...

... if the owner of the hunt camp wants me to, I’m gonna wear it. Not worth fighting over.

But everywhere else, no thank you.

The path of least resistance leads to submission, history has proven this many times.

For our moose hunt, the camp is way to small for any attempt at social distancing. Masks? I don't think so. Meal time is shoulder to shoulder around the table. If someone brings it to camp, they best find a 4wd meat wagon with chains on to get in there to pick up the bodies, 'cause we're mostly all older and going to get it.

I trust my guys to just be sure they are not sick before showing up, and for a week of moose hunt, we can forget about all this Covid crap.

I follow the path of least resistance with respect to the whole journey, not just the next mile (which itself may very well lead to even greater challenges)

My decision to wear a mask into Ole Orville’s Trap Shack when he asks me to, has no effect on the greater journey.

However, when Blair says “Gimme yer gunz”... that so called path of least resistance will only lead to many greater challenges in the rest of the journey.

Just imo, but any situation where you need a mask, is a good situation to not put yourself in in the first place.

If I thought there was a risk of getting covid, I sure as heck wouldn't be going for autumn tours crammed nutz deep in a truck full of dudes.

This.

If you don’t feel safe with your hunting group and trust that they are all quite confident they aren’t sick before they leave home don’t go.

In my camp there is no way to keep your distance. A few days before we will make a decision if camp is a go or to pass on this year if it’s looking risky. Masks have their place despite what those who want to make it a political issue say. But they would be futile in my camp atmosphere so if I thought we needed them there would not be a camp trip this fall

Good lord...

What a pathetic future this turned out to be...

Even the artificially inflated numbers being peddled by the government don't justify this absolute terror the general public is demonstrating...

Stop playing these stupid games or they will never stop...

The only crisis is the steady erosion of our civil liberties...

I will be moose hunting with four other guys and we will have masks in the trucks to use at gas and food stops but once we hit the bush and get our bivouac built the masks I am sure will stay in the trucks. All we can do is hope for the best and no one is contaminated going in.

And an economy that is being artificially propped up by gross government spending... there is going to be a terrible financial price to pay when reality hits... the question is, who will be holding the purse strings when that happens?
