I haven't seen too many nice camo CZ858's out there, although I am sure they are out there...just very hard to see... Pun fully intended ;) hah

So I looked at my CZ, and while I am still trying to locate the right materials/supplies to make my scope rail (PS IF ANYONE HAS SOMETHING, like an hk sl8 rail they no longer need, or an AR scope rail, really, anything cheap or free, that may be a bit broken, etc, I would love to hear from you.... I mean UBER cheap), I thought I would give it a paintjob that was going to be applied afterwards...I figured the rail can be painted by itself, since it's all a camop mismash anyway.

Let me know if you like it. I also added some grip improvement to the lower handguard and pistol grip (note the speckling on there, under the paint).

Krylon for the win! haha.

(this photo is a bit brighter, and the colours are less "yellow", more so a greyer and darker shade, like you can see in the other two pics)

My 858 and others I have seen throw the brass more or less straight up HARD - one I saw yesterday was going a good 12-15' up. Is there a shell deflector you're making or on the market?

That is an EXCELLENT paint job. Did you take down the factory finish first, or just go over top?

I matted down the factory finish with 400 wet sand paper, and then I used a brake-cleaner to take all the grease off. I also matted the "wood" furniture and cleaned just the same. No primer, just Khaki Krylon base, let it dry for a day or two, then put on a fresh coat of it, let it dry, then fool around with Green, brown and black. :) (so 4 colour combo, so you get shadows and such).

As for a shell deflector, I am definitely working on it, it will be incorporated into my Scope rail. I however, also have a plan for one, if you do not wish to use a scope/rail system. I wil post that up once I have it worked out and whatnot :)

Also, thank you to all the people that like it! (even if it's not your cup of tea)

hahah thanks guys! I would patent it.... except I think anyone can do it at home, so it would just be useless. "Hahha! I hold the patent! You can't paint your guns without my rights!! mwahaha" "hey I did it myself..." ...... "really....? crap".

I had better hold on tight for sure, put a neon sling on there so I don't lose it hehe.

Glad you guys like it! I was actually expecting some "jeebus what on earth did you do to that CZ?!?! you ruined it!!!".... but I guess we're all on the same page for now!

Thanks again!
