I will be hunting Saskatchewan again this year for deer as was wondering what are the regulations for your choices on outerwear colors. I have always worn a full blaze orange parka but I want to wear white this year. My question is, does the fabric have to be entirely white or can it have black camo patterns, white being the dominant color? I have checked the hunters and trappers guide but found no answer. I could use your help on this matter
Cheers
Danny

pants can be white camo but you have to wear a solid color of white, red, blaze orange, or yellow from your waist up. You can't wear a white hat either.

I've looked into this, and aylandacres is correct. Trousers don't matter anymore, the regulations specify you must wear a hat and the hat and your full upper body outergarment including sleeves must be of the approved high-visibility colours he listed. White is not permitted for the hat, and camo versions - mixing anything with these colours - will not meet the specification.

Whatever the law, wearing anything white during deer season in these parts (mostly brush) is asking to get ventilated.

I have heard stories (likely apocryphal) of fellows being shot while wiping their derrieres with white toilet paper.

I have a will have line of camo and blaze orange TP for sale if anyone is interested ..:D:D:D

I love these threads.

Out of all the inane and absurd thread toipics that continually pop up. I just love how people get so bent out of shape about orange.

What the hell is gauche?

It's french for "left". Or posh english for tacky. Ironic, ain't it?

Now someone can tell ME what that ^ means :)

Side note; I got to camp, asked where the crapper was. They pointed 15 feet away behind an 8 inch tree. I stood and stared at them for a minute, grabbed my rifle and went. They said "you're afraid to use the can without your gun?".
I said the gun was to make sure the video camera stayed packed away.

Wear white during deer season because the ground is covered in snow ?
Who cares ! I'd be worried about my family getting back my cloths covered in my blood !

However, it should be noted that your torso can be a combination of the approved colors. I know one game warden's wife who hunts in a patchwork pair of coveralls made from the 4 approved colors. Kinda neat.

I would never wear white in the bush during deer season. I even make sure my under shirt is black. Too many nuts that will shoot at anything that "might be a deer"
