Weatherby .300 mag

Hi guys,

My uncle has a 1970s mark v weatherby .300 wby mag rifle. The gun has seen serious use and barrel bluing is rough. Is it worth restoring and re bluing? Any pertinent info would be appreciated. He is looking to sell it since he can no longer hunt with it

If the barrel is still in good shape and not pitted it would be worth it to get it reblued. I had a rifle done this spring for $165 and it looks great.

Get it blued and take it hunting

Who did the blueing?

They usually are not worth putting abunch of money into it. Maybe blue or cold blue, clean it up and spruce up the stock and go hunting. i just looed at a very nice Mk V in 300 for $750......
