Weatherby 7-6.5 RPM cartridge

These velocities they published with the 25 RPM were also in a 22” barrel keep in mind.

Also guys who hand load will be able to push it harder no different than any factory caliber.

I have a 257 wby right now. I love it. I run a 115 Berger at 3430fps. It’s a laser. Am I going to sell it and buy a 25 RPM? No cause I love the rifle itself and it holds some value to me but will I be adding a 25 RPM to my safe? Absolutely I will be. The rifle will be $300 more than re-barreling my 257 and I have another one in the safe. Win win.

But

Another company should quickly release 2 new cartridge based lengthened .284 case in .277 and .30 calibers. Then partner with a regional gunsmiths like to rechamber 270win and 30-06 to essentially 270 and 30rpm. Could be a successful way to get more range and velocity out of existing rifles. Do it at cost in order to sell brass and ammo. I must be possible to design a reamer to for instance clean up a 25-06 camber to 25rpm while the barrel and receiver are still attached. Why not others?
Ok, now you have my attention!

Something along the lines of Howas Superlight series, where it’s in between their Mini and Standard SA action in a .308RPM or 270RPM would be a unique UL/LW BC type rig. Probably a pipe dream for now though.

I think the biggest advantage that the rpm case has, is being able to rechamber or rebarrel a standerd action/bolt face rifle to the rpm cartridge. It'll have a higher case capacity than a 280 ai. To some that's a big deal. Anyhow I think it's a kool cartridge.
