Weatherby 7-6.5 RPM cartridge

I’m going to wait and see what this new cartridge is. Was going to place an order for a 7.5twist .257 barrel this week. My plan is to build a 257 weatherby for launching the new high B.C. bullets.

I was planning a 2506. Been waiting for the 25 market to kick up with new bullets. I already have the brass and dies

It feels like weatherby learned almost nothing from the win mag release. By starting with a 6.5 and 338. Instead of starting with the more popular 30 or 7mm bores.

Quietly looking for a used 338rpm thou. They are niche solution to an excellent bear rifle.

I spoke to Adam Weatherby at length about introducing the 7-RPM a few years back after the 6.5 RPM was introduced and the reasoning at that time was lack of available components ( Covid Crunch) otherwise they would have.
