Weatherby actions

Is the Weatherby Vangaurd action a good "build project" I was looking at building a .260 Remington from a Savage or Stevens action and see that the Vangaurd is in the same range for the donar rifle. I see that there area a Ton of savage barrels that around making it the first choice but was curious if the Vangaurd had been used in the same aspect.

I would use the Rem. 700 action or the Savage action(Savage due to the chambered screw on barrels avail.) over the Howa, you can buy Howa actions, or barreled actions anyways.

I'd use a remington or a Savage as well. If you're looking at making a target rifle in 260, you might consider the Savage target action to start with. Mysticplayer can probably tell you where to get one.
