I found out something interesting while dissecting the bolt of my new Uzkon AS40 pump shotgun - looks identical to my Weather PA-08 bolt. So I took them both apart to compare. And to try things out, I put the Weatherby bolt into the Uzkon and it fits perfectly. I tried some snapcaps in it and it cycled and fired and ejected perfectly too! (both guns are made in Turkey - maybe they only have 1 factory in Turkey that makes everything and they just get branded and finished differently :p )

All Weatherbys are made by the Turkish company Armsan. a joint venture between ATA and Khan. Individually, those two companies manufacture and export a good percentage of Turkish shotguns. The semi Weatherby SA08 is just a rebranded ATA CY model with a few cosmetic changes, the CY model has been made for a long time and been rebranded with a multitude of companies across Europe, just Google CY on youtube and guys from Russia to Turkey to England have uploaded videos.

It makes sense that any big company like that would use economies of scale and interchange many of their major parts but I see your point, on how seemingly unrelated entities can have interchangeable parts.

It makes it easier for me if/when I need parts! :) My Weatherby chokes fit into the Uzkon. I'm sure Uzkon parts might be hard to find but not Weatherby.
