Hey folks! Anyone shot/have one of these? Looks like a hell of a rifle and the price doesnt seem too bad for what it offers. But I dont know, and Im still pretty new to shooting so i could use some opinions, so what are peoples thoughts of this one? It can be found on Cabelas ' website.

Thanks!

Edit: Removed direct link, dont think it was allowed. Also... Yeah, I noticed that other error too late to change it... >.>

I've got one in 30-06. Beautiful rifle for the price. It's a Vanguard II, and works as well as they all do. If you plan to shoot it, you will nick it up a bit. That laser work is fragile. But it's a fine rifle to be sure.

I've got a couple Lazerguards S2s, though neither are 30-06s. If you like that look and the cartridge, it comes with the same 1" guarantee as the Weatherby cartridges. Pretty hard to go wrong.

I have a Lazerguard in 30-06. It is a wonderful rifle, rewarding me with some very fine groups.

That, combined with the nice wood, and S2 type trigger, adds up to a very desirable package.

Buy it, you will not be sorry! Dave.

All rifles are 10% off at Cabela's! I picked up this 30-06 yesterday and put a Nikon 3-9x50 BDC on it with Leupold one piece base. Heading to the range with 4 different types of ammo on the weekend and then will come back with an update.

BTW, if anybody is looking for a Leupold one piece scope base, you will have a very hard time finding one made for Weatherby. Ask for Remington 700 base. It's the exact same measurement and available everywhere. That's what I have on my rifle.
