I owned the very first left handed Ultralight Accumark in 270 Wby in Canada, and while it was expensive at the time, it was an excellent shooter. Sub-MOA with Weatherby factory ammunition.
I did not keep it long, as I just didn't care for the roughness of the action when cycling. I just own other rifles with smoother cycling/less rattly actions. And I haven't been the biggest fan of synthetic stocks. But that is just me.
Put into perspective compared to building a custom rifle, $2500 is fairly economical: expect to pay following for; a stainless action with bottom metal ($1000-$1500), and stainless barrel ($600-$900) , and a higher end sythetic stock ($500 and up). Then add chambering and installing the barrel to the rifle ($250 min.), Glass and/or pillar bedding action ($100 min. ea.), Fluting barrel, if not already done, after market trigger ($350-$500) tuning trigger ($50 min.), recoil pad installation ($100 min.), plus any other work requested. Here with just minimums, we are already more than the new price of a Weatherby...
If you like it, then buy it. I know several guys who have them in various Wby calibers, and they love them.
If unsure, see if you can find someone who owns one, who will let you test fire it, if you supply your own ammo.
Also check out EE, you may find a used one for a better price.
