Weatherby mark xxii 10 round mag?

Wham-O,

Do you know if there's a difference between the Italian the Japanese MKII's ?

Only difference was the base labour rate at the time of manufacturing... :p

Seriously though Mike.....not a clue? ( I did hear that the tube feds were made in Japan and the mag fed in Italy, but I think that's bunk.)

What do you have? Japanese/Italy? Tube Or Mag?

No Weatherby in the safe ... But I do have the mags :D...

Savage magazines work once you take a file and notch a v in the rear ribbing.

You bought a rifle at below cost. congratulations, those retail for over $1K typically.

You might find it has a preference for Eley ammo.

Great buy, I am thinking someone messed up on pricing. as buying any new Anschutz 64 action for $650 is not common.

Sweet Ty :)

Yup, the Savage magazine work good.

Brownells #533-400-355 for the 5 rounds, #533-400-350 for the 10 rounds

Sure, they don't have that fancy Anschutz/Weatherby plastic floor plate... but at 1/4 the price... who's to complain.

** EDIT **

Did Weatherby drop the MKII? I can't seem to find it on their website.

Nice, I'll be looking into those.

About 1 hour ago I ordered the above rimfire rifle,, and am searching for a 10 round magazine for it... Anyone aware of anyone or any store selling these? Or are the mags compatible with other rifle makes? Ruger or whatever else.... Help would be appreciated,

Also if anyone already owns this gun, let me know your impressions/performance.. Thx all.

Ps paid 650$ at wholesalesports on special for new... Seems like a good deal to me.. I was looking at 400-550$ rimfires.. But decided to splurge after reading great reviews on the weatherby. Thx all

I Got the Weatherby Mark XXII Semi-Auto that was built in Italy by Beretta in the late 1960's.Everything about the gun is awesome except that it doesnt like the 22 L.R Yellow Jacket ammo.it jams with this ammo,so I just stick to other brands.I'm not a serious gopher guy or rimfire enthusists, however I like my Mark XXII Weatherby.Congrats on your recent Weatherby purchase!

Very sweet gun.. What scope you got on yours? Good to know about the yellow jacket ammo... I'm considering Winchester superX or 555,, they on sale near my home.

Edit to add. Damn clean gun, it's 40 years young. Looks great

^^^^Funny u bring up the scope because about 2 weeks after the gopher hunting pics were taken, the old bushnell scope finally gave out.im actually buying a new scope 4 it tommorow.IC that the Leupold vxI & vxII are on sale at wss,so thats whats going on it now.

i have the new 2012 weatherby catalog .they did drop there bolt action 22 rimfires .

The Mark XXII has been discontinued as of 2012.

From Weatherby, "Sorry to say the Mark XXII is going to be discontinued. We do still have some in stock but when those are gone that is it. The rifle just became too expensive to manufacture in Germany do to the exchange rate primarily. We may once again offer it if things change."

Brownells won't ship Savage mags to Canada. A guy at work tried to order them and they sent him an email back cancelling the order. Saying Savage is not registered with...
