Weatherby new 338 RPM

It seems for most guys a “ big gun” is a 7mm rem mag or a 300 win. 338 win and 340 wby etc are not even on their radars they might as well be a 505 Gibbs

Weatherby having boutique cartridges is kind of inconsequential; that is their business model. Seems these new rpms are made specifically for weatherby heads who want a weatherby mountain rifle.

I consider myself a weatherby head with 5 Mark V's in the safe and the 300 wby is my biggest The new cartridge doesnt interest me but a 340wby does which is my next wby rifle...adam wby did an interview for a facebook wby group in september and he mentioned how the wby products are changeing to meet what the customers now want.he mentioned if Roy was around he probably wouldnt like all these new style weatherbys rifles but its what the majority if people now want...wby now only offers 1 mark v rifle with a wood stock and thats the deluxe...all my wbys wear fancy wood and ill never have it anyother way.

Channel my Cathy Neumann....." So your saying you need a 505 Gibbs.

Through extensive polling I have determined that either a 505 Gibbs or a Remington 700 30-06 with a Turkish pump attached to the forend via pic rail is the ultimate western Canadian hunting/ bear defence combo

The only advantage I see with the RPM cartridge is it's able to be chambered in a slender lightweight rifle like Weatherby's new 6 lug action or a Kimber 84L. I would like to see a 277 or 284 version.
