Weatherby Orion Sporting?

If set on buying new, take a look at the Franchi Instinct series. Italian made quality for around that price range. Franchi is owned by Beretta Holdings and have a decent 7 year warranty. One model you can get with a steel receiver which is not often seen today and should aid longevity in trade for a small weight penalty. Weatherby is more known for their higher end rifles than shotguns. That said I have friends with PA-08's with tough lives and they have nothing but good things to say.

Have a new Franchi instinct lx in 28g. Seems like a pretty decent gun have not shot it. Interesting note it weighs .4lb. (6.3) heavier than my 20g Orion.(5.9)

I used an sa-08 for skeet and sporting clays when i first started. I shot at least a couple of hundred rounds a week for three years with no problems. Just keep it clean and you should be good. I still have it and usr it as a loaner. It works great.
