I was just wondering if anyone knows what the pressures are for a 300 wby 180 grain loaded to max. loads ,all my reloading manuals do not have any loading pressures listed ,I see a few listing for 300 win in the 53,000 c.u.p.'s area but the 300 wby uses approx. 10 grains of powder ,<> more and gets about 200 ft per sec extra speed(it has to come from some place). Thanks for any and all replies John -Montrock

The SAAMI pressure rating for the Wby. 300 magnum is given as 65,000 psi.
Doesn't matter what weight bullet.
