Weatherby SA-08 12ga, what is your impression on it?

I have the synthetic 12 ga version. Ive put around 1200-1300 rounds through it now over the last 18 months. Overall impressions of the gun are very positive. Handles well, has significantly less recoil then a pump action, and is very reliable. Ive only had 2 malfunctions to date, both with cheap canadian tire special winchester white box. And that was after about 400 rounds since its previous cleaning.

Buddies gf's SA is a one shot for some reason. May be her own user error though. Bought a Benelli M2 off a guy on here as my everything gun and will never look back. If it fits nice then buy it. They are nice looking guns. Take a look at the Beretta A300 they look slick! My buddy has one and its a nice pointing steel slinger.

Mine didnt last duck season
3" federal steel shot 1 1/4 oz on ducks
Bolt split in half sending pieces almost into my hunting buddies
Face next to me, siezed gun up solid
Round count I had through the gun
120 rounds all yr, took it back to dealer
Got an 870 super mag, works fine
Ill never purchase another weatherby SA08 or PAO8
Money can be spent much better

No remington hypersonics or reloads with STEEL powder through it was there??

No factory loaded federal 3" blu box ammo
1400fps, only gun I shoot reload through
Is my 870 super mag, no issues at all
Shoot a 3" reload from RSI manual 1 1/8oz
1550 fps, 46 gr of steel powder and a Sam 1
Winchester 209 primer, Nd super Sam steel shot
Size from 1-4
More kick and drive out of the federal to be honest
They were 3" 1 1/4 #2 and 3 loads, I bought 3 cases
From local dealer 175$/ case, everyone round here
Uses them in semi autos with no probs,
They 870 eats whatever I feed it lol, the weatherby chokes
Also got scored very easy, the Remington's
Not a scratch in them, I've put 250-300 rounds through
The Remington, Since I've polished chamber and where
Lug locks to breech as it was poorly done at factory
A very common issue with express models,
STAY AWAY FROM THE WEAHERBY UNLESS YOUR
SKEET SHOOTING WITH LIGHT LOADS, 120 3" duck
Loads killed mine,

If u wanna buy a budget semi
Look at the baikal MP153
Absolutely flawless, built like an iron horse
Have a friend with one, only shoots stout 3.5"
Ammo in it, prob has 3-4000 rounds through it
Cleans it once a season, not one failure to fire
Or extract , or cycle, he shoots the black cloud
1 1/2oz and hypersonics and various 3.5" steel
Loads, zero issues, think he paid under 650$ for it
Synthetic black version, also came with set of chokes

Very strange?? reviews have been very positive on them I not found anyone with similiar issues when one does a search. Now if it was exactly like the old charles daly I could see exactly what you describe for them bolts were falling apart in those.
What got me confused is you are saying the federals kicked more in the semi than they did in a pump.
Have never witnessed that in my life. Am I reading this right

the federal loads were harder recoiling than my relads in the pump
I never fired reloads in the semi, this sa08 aparantly was built in same plant as the dalys
it split the bolt completely in half and ejected a piece out the port then tried to chamber
a round and seized solid, even bent the piston rod, bending the pivot point pin
had to completey strip it to remove cartridge
no signs of over pressure gun was clean a a whip inside
it was minus 11 degrees morning it let go, I removed all excess lubrication
so no gumming would be happening
I use Cpl breakfree oil
and synthetic g96
I had the heavy valve in while duck hunting, I never even used the skeet or light valve
it was still in its box it came with labeled " parts" lol
870 works like it should, ill never go to a semi again
