Okay, so I picked up a Weatherby SA-459 recently. I'm very happy with it so far, it wouldn't reliably cycle the #8 shot club loads cheap stuff, but with 00 buck it worked flawlessly, which of course is what is needed of a tactical shotgun.
My question is, I want to add a light, and a side saddle shell holder to this shotgun, and am looking for accessories. Weatherby offers a short rail that will replace the magazine end cap, but two issues, first, you lose the sling mount, and also, the rail is too short for my preferred light, which is the Inforce WML. I'm wondering if anyone else has found accessories that work from other manufacturers, or had success in modifying the shotgun. I'm thinking a short length of rail attached to the forend would work great for my light, but the forend is plastic, and fairly thin in places, so I'd prefer to have someone else guinea pig their gun first lol.
