Weatherby SA-459 vs Hatsan MP-A Which one should I get???

I would like to hear about quality and reliability for these 2.

The Weatherby is gas operated holds 1 less shell and is $60 more. Is there a big diff between gas and recoil operated action.

the hatsan has "smart valve" which tells me its gas operated, i have fired target load to slugs in the same tube,np. not to a high shell count yet....but will be someday i am sure
$60 more? hatsans go sub $4oo, let me know where the deal is on the weatherby?

The hatsans have seemed to go up in price. All the ones I see seem to be around the 500$ range. If anyone can find me one close to 400 I'd be very grateful

Hatsan MP-A

I own an MP-A and really like it. It has yet to have any problems with any type of shell I have loaded with approx 300 so far, more tomorrow. My one ##### is the sling swivels were too small for any sling I could find (3/4" inch).

Cleaning is easy, once you get the charging handle off which can be a bit tricky.

I can't really rate it against other shotguns as I don't own any others.

I did have a look at the Weatherby, but the skulls paint job it was wearing just wasn't my cup of tea.

i love my mp-a i use it for skeets mostly. hit a steel ram at 200 yards with a slug in the fall its a fun fun gun i had to lock tight the rail and front sight though otherwise it would come lose after every couple hundred rounds.
