Weatherby Vangaurd S2 RC Varmint in .223 rem - Opinions

Howdy folks:
Are there any informed opinions out there on the Weatherby Vangaurd S2 RC Varmint in .223 rem?

I continue my search for a decent .223 Rem bolt gun and the RC Varmint has caught my eye. It's a tad heavy at 8.75 lbs, but I
might be tempted. :)

I have the non-varmint version and i hate it because i get a lot of ejection failures due to poor design. I imagine the varmint version has the same action and bolt just different barrel. after searching around i found that weatherby will not fix this problem because to them it is not a gun problem but a user problem. If you want the spent case to eject you need to yank the bolt back hard and fast...like the way nutnfancy cycles a bolt action. i am planning on selling mine once i find a replacement. Other than that the gun can shoot sub-moa at 100m with barnaul 55gr if i don't flinch or jerk the trigger (3 shot group).

This is good to know. I've done countless google searches on this particular rifle in .223 Rem and the closest I get is the .308 Win version.
It might be that this extraction issue dates back to pre-Series 2 vangaurds - not that I've found any mention of it. Well, I was kind of thinking
it was a little heavy for my tastes anyway, which makes the Browning X-Bolt with it's 1:8 twist rate and 7 lbs. weight all the more appealing.

Well that pretty much explains it... Now that I've read the linked write up, it brings to mind how both Browning and CZ make mention of their shorter actions; which is something
I had not paid much attention to until now. And a feature I will definitely look for when considering any bolt action .223 Rem.
