Weatherby Vanguard series 2

I handled an S2 the other day. The new 2 stage trigger and 3 position saftey and better stocks have fixed the only faults in the Vanguard Rifle. I will get one when the .240 Weatherbys hit Canada.

There is a good review on Youtube by the Gunblast dot com guys.

I think there was one on DSG ad site and it disappeared pretty quick too.
Anyone from that store wish to comment on it?
When and if you find this?

My local dealer has one in 22-250. I tend to stick with the mark v's but this series 2 really felt nice with all of the features mentioned above I think Weatherby has really hit this one out of the park I found this action to be one of the smoothest. They have it priced for $619.00. I am also waiting for the 240.

I bought a Howa 1500 Varmint in .223 with green Hogue stock and 20" heavy barrel. The new Howa models have the new trigger and (3) position safety. It's the same barrelled action as the Weatherby. I dry-fired the trigger a few times and I thought it was one of the better factory triggers I've had to date.

The bluing is good quality but it's a gloss finish that I don't particularly care for. Still, it's a far cry from the utilitarian bluing found on Remington 700 SPS and other entry level models.

Haven't had the opportunity to fire it yet. I took the new rifle up to the gunsmith to have it re-barrelled to .300 Blackout. When I get it back, I'll fill you in on how I like it.
