The vanguard S2 seems to come in a variety of colourful stocks. Are these stocks like the "reaper" style just the same stock as the standard model but with a pattern or are they a cheaper plastic piece of Tupperware ?

The stock is not bad actually. Stiffer than most injection mold stocks. It doesn't have the rubber inserts like the standard s2 synthetic. I swapped a walnut take off on mine and am prepping the other for paint. I do plan on using the synthetic though. It is definitely better than the s1 stock.

Do the stocks with the graphics still have metal trigger guards or are they molded in ?
Function is the same as a 700 BDL.

Who has a blaze camo takeoff they want to sell?

I want to fit one to my Vanguard 375 H&H, and scare everyone in camp with it.

Ted

I had a Winchester defender powder coated in blaze orange once, all the metal except the nut at the end of the mag tube, got the Idea from Dale Klassen in FSJ who did the same thing but in hot pink, lol. Everyone hated it when they saw it, but in camp they loved it. No matter what tree or where it was leaning loaded with 3" slugs and alternating buckshot, it was easy to see and grab to chase off nuisance bears when cooking supper etc....!!

Sold it and bought a Remington marine magnum since then though, better action IMO.
