Un huh. I'm not talking about bedding the action. As I said I'm talking about the 'bedding' of the barrel which is the contact point near the front of the stock. If done correctly, it will not affect accuracy one bit.
 
I've sanded the fore-stock from a couple inches from the receiver to a couple inches before the tip. I sanded it down to get rid of the excess plastic from the mould. Groupings have improved greatly.
They've gone from (3 rounds) 2 inches down to and inch and a half at 100yards.

Don't know if any of that made sense but yeah.
 
Are you talking about sanding the outside of the stock, or the inlet? If you sanded the outside, I think your practice is just paying off, as that would have no baring on the accuracy.

If you can still see a color difference where the mouldings seemed together, a 3.99 can of black Krylon will fix it. Prime it first if it makes you feel better...but you don't have to.
