Weatherby Vanguard triggers are adjustable for tension but thats about it, and the adjustment range gives very little between heavy and too heavy. Unfortunatly there is very little adjustment for sear engagment, which is exsesive to say the least. Addressing sear engagment by honeing the sear face will get you in trouble as the safty will be rendered inoperable and unreliable and will lead to accidental discharge. The only way around this is to make a new safty spindle to cam the the newly adjusted sear out of bent. This is much monkey business but can give a nice crisp 3 lb trigger which will satisfy the hunter but not the target shooter, I dont know if there is an after market product out there yet that will replace the factory origonal. D.H.

Which Vanguard trigger do you have?
I believe there are at least three types (pre 1500 single stage, 1500 S1 single stage and 1500 2-stage).
Which one do you have, what is your pull weight now and what do you want to lower it to?

lol, I didn’t catch that…I’ll have to watch OP post dates more as this seems to be getting more prevalent.
