its ppu ammo made in sibera. i know that the 5.56 is the military vershion on the 223. i dont think they are realoades but they have this red paint in the primers whick is a bugger the clean out!

I bought a Vanguard Varmint HB in .223 Rem. for $430. That's a great price for that rifle. Considering a no-frills 700 SPS Varmint is easily close to $600, I think I did pretty good.

This is my second Howa/Weatherby purchase in the last two months. I might shoot this one for a while before I re-barrel it to a 6x45mm or 6mm Whisper.

Ordered a Vanguard varmint special in 204 for $499.66, all in shipped to my door came to $587:cool: took only a couple minutes on the phone, very pleasant purchase. Now I'm just waiting for it to show up in my mailbox.:D

Ha! I eyed that one too but I really wanted to stick with .223 Rem. If they'd had it in .223 I would have bought it. I think your stock is going to be of better quality than mine.

Took me forever to get through to them. I was on hold for at least 30 mins.

Best of luck with the new rifle.
