Got had my hands on an older Italian made 22 and hoping to find some info for its owner. I found two previous threads but they did not help much. The owner is tempted to sell after he saw the range of pricing on a few US sites.
Definitely stamped "Made in Italy" and "Patent Pending". The serial number is only a five digit number but without a double letter prefix. Five round, detachable magazine, not the tube. The blueing and metal is mostly excellent, unfortunately some wear at the muzzle but the rest of the metal and bluing is pristine. The stock is the deluxe version with rosewood accents and inlays, which I suspect means a later production, it has a few rub marks but no gouges or cracks. The original factory, 4X scope and the original box is long gone.
The lack of lettering prefix on the serial and the Patent Pending cause me to suspect this is an early production (1961-1962) but the deluxe stock seems like something from a later production.
Can't post pics but I can send them to a cell or email address.
