Have to agree, Wby Mk V's were a gunsmith's special for years. It was a big step getting them commercially made from the modified Mausers and Enfields and Winchesters that had been used before, and when German labour was cheap they were a good deal (though still expensive for the average shooter). When the company expanded, it basically boiled down to sell more cheaper stuff, and get that economics of scale working for you. It is still a cool rifle however, and I wouldn't give up mine (or any of the others I have chambered in Wby cartridges) any time soon. - dan
