Weaver bases for Savage 64

According to the Savage website, the current model 64's are drilled and tapped for scope mounts, but I can't seem to find any info on what mount fits them. Is it the Weaver #16, the same as the other Savage rimfires?

I believe they are the #16 bases.You can go to the Weaver site and go to the application charts.

Thanks Bill. I did look on the Weaver site already though, they list every Savage rimfire except the 64. I also checked under Cooey and Lakefield and no listing for it there either.

It might be a #12 I think all grooved savage receivers take that base

Your Welcome.I do know that EPP's has the #16 Bases.Got them for a Steven's 305 22WMR.I'm sure they can tell you for sure.Also check the sticky for rings and bases on Rimfire Central.I can look if you like.

Thanks for the suggestions Lumberjack and Bill. I checked out the stickey at rimfire central and read all 8 pages, but all of the discussion was on the MkII and the model 93 (it did mention the #12 base), no mention of the model 64. It did mention the reciever diameter though of the MkII, so I will check to see if it is the same for the 64. I also sent off an e-mail to Weaver, but its Friday afternoon, so I don't expect I'll hear back from them till next week.
