I'd like to throw a low power scope or red dot sight on my Mossberg 500 for occaisional use.

This is my only shotgun and is used for clays, waterfowl, upland, small and big game (sometimes).

The Convert-A-Mount and the No-Gunsmith System from weaver seem to be easy enough to install, but has anyone acutally used one or the other?

Would the convert-a-mount be better, since I can zero the scope/red dot and then remove the whole mount without affecting the zero (much)?

I have one on my 870, great mount. I even made one work on my SKS. See the following link post 25
