Had an opportunity to use a Weaver Grand Slam 3-10X-40mm the other day. Have to say I was impressed with it. Good clear glass, good resolution, eye relief and no fuzzy images around the edge at high magnifications. I definitely wouldn't feel unprepared if I had one of these babies mounted for my Moose Hunt next week.

What do you guys think? Anybody hunting with one? IMHO, they compare favorably with my Leupolds!

I used a new 4x fixed for a while on a deer rifle. I compared very well to the Leupolds I have. Only problem I could see is warrenty service in Canada.

You bet. They are first rate glass and use an adjustment system second to none!

Grand slams and 4200 series scopes are the best bang for the buck and are giving high end scopes a run for their money.

They are really good, I don't care for the standard Duplex that come with Leupold, 3200/4200 or the GRand slams. That's just personal preference though. I have recently bought a couple of nearly new Zeiss Conquests with the Zplex which is alittle wider than the standard duplex and am very impressed with them.

My friend bought a Grand Slam 3-10 and it's a nice scope. Probably similar to a Leupold VXII.

Only thing I didn't like about it was the ugly ass power ring. ITS HUGE  :?

I'd say the Grand Slams are on par with the VX III with superior reticle adjustment system!
