Weaver K3 60B knowledge?

Hey all. I have the chance to pick one of these scopes up for $40.Has a post and crosshair reticle and supposedly holds zero well. What can you tell me about this model. Been thinking it would go well with an older Marlin 336 I have. I wouldn't mind sending it to Trace repair for a freshening if it's worth doing so. Thanks for any feedback.

Not in this case lol. Tried that first. Very little info on 60B. Like, for instance, what 60B even means.

Did some more searching and it seems this particular scope was made from 56-66. I realize optics quality was not the best back then but I do have a .308 that this scope would be period correct for. I think I will grab it. When trace refurbishes these weavers, what exactly do they do? Thanks

They disassemble, clean, reseal, recharge. They do good work on Weavers. If I remember right, 60B would be the assembly date, Feb of 60. I have a couple of these, they are great, and tough little hunting scopes. I've had one on a 375 Wby for 30 years or so. - dan

I've sent a couple scopes into Trace and they came back as stated by db above.
I sure wish I would of sent my B&L into Trace and had it repaired other than replaced by Bushnell.
Would of voided my warranty, but when Bushnell won't repair a scope and opt to replace it, sometimes
getting a qualified shop to fix a favorite obsolete scope is worthwhile.

If it's one of the "microtrac' versions it's decent, pre-microtrac were spotty for holding zero.
