Weaver/Picatinny fitment??????????

For the love of god...

There is so much conflicting info regarding the fitment of Weaver rings fitting Picatinny bases and vice/versa.

My understanding at this point is that Weaver rings will mount properly on a Pic rail but pic rings won't mount properly to a Weaver rail?

Will Weaver rings be sloppy on a pic rail?

My rifle came with a EGW picatinny rail. I am looking to use either Weaver tactical or Burris XTR rings??

Weaver rings will mount on Pic rail, but not the other way around. The biggest difference is the Weaver cross bolts are narrower.

one thing everyone over looks is alignment, match the rings to base
Leupold to Leupold, NF to NF, Weaver to Weaver they are designed to fit their perspective products and you will not get good alignment if you mix match
