Weaver Scope Rail for LeeEnfield 303 Options

I have never seen or heard of any but I did see pictures once of a standard Weaver base that had been stuck (probably epoxy, but not sure of my memory) on top of a Weaver TO-1 base.

If you want to go from a dovetail base to a weaver base, Weaver makes a rail that slides into the dovetail thats a weaver base on top
 
TO-1 redo

I just modified one for a friend with no cash. Filed down the inside of the 3/8 grooves and epoxied a one piece base from a Marlin 336 onto it. With the centering drill bit combo from Lee Valley drilled the 4 holes through the new base into the TO-1. Tapped them and installed #8 screws and it's solid like a rock and not bad looking. Should have taken some pics but you get the idea. It's a shame this TO-1 base is a tip off base with so many Lee Enfields around.
