Weaver V-16

Hey guys~I've read all kinds of positive things about these on a US forum, anybody here have one? What dealers carry it? Pros/Cons. From what I hear, they're in the $600 range (Canadian) but are they worth it? I have a Vortex Viper HS 4-16x...how would the Weaver V-16 compare?

I have one on a Savage, really nice scope for a .22

$600 seems steep though, I recall paying under $400 2 years ago at WSS
