What is the going availability and ballpark figure to buy one of these, unaltered and not rusty, in a 6-inch barrel?

Many thanks,

I think it's going to depend upon the gun in question having any collector value of some sort.

I got a good example, with lanyard loop, no pitting, original grips... etc, etc for $460 delivered from Prophet River.

A joy to shoot. Now... finding ammo for that sucker is a totally different ball of wax.

I would agree with the $600-ish price (might have to take a look at the one at CSC now). Regimental markings on the grip strap would add to value, IMO. I have Mk V in the 6-inch (predecessor with birdshead grips) Hefty, solid and iconic. Fiocchi ammo in .455 isn't everywhere, but can be found.

gnmontey, you got yours at a great price.
