The firm Webley is starting to make pistol in India!

Apparently they will make a polymer version of their iconic
Model the top break ,in a small caliber and 9mm!

Do you think that someone would be interested in importing it?
Would anybody be interested to buy one if they were available?

Maybe if they changed the design enough to enable 38sp or a MKVI that can take 44sp or 45colt there would be interest. The first model they intend to offer is a 32 so we can't get it here anyway.
It seems unlikely to me that the top break style could be strengthened for magnum cartridges or possibly even for the pressure of 9mm, 40, 45acp. If so they would already be on the market in some form or another. Except for Italian reproductions I don't even know of any modern top breaks. Surprised there aren't a few 22lr.

2 recently sold on EE with asking price of $450

Wow! Great prices. The ones I see now on the EE are much more expensive: "Two Webley Mark 4 in 38. Well as much as I hate to do this. I'm off loading the few I have. I don't shoot them and I'd love to see them go to someone who appreciates it.
mk IV , got some good wear but works flawless. $650
mk IV , great shape. $750
Take them both and I'll let em go for $1200

I have a 1917 patent/vintage Mark VI Webley in .455 Webley. Shortly after a good friend passed away a few years back, I picked it up from his estate. He had always contended that anyone with interests in handgun shooting, at some point and time in their life, should own a Webley.

There is a Mark IV for sale right now by user Lee Enfield for $510, so certainly a bit more than the last couple I'd seen but not quite as high as those

There are scads of old top break 22 cheap, mind you most are 12-6 , same with the 32's
I think there is a repo s-w Russian still made.
Not to long ago there was a Webley and Scott in 22 on the EE I think.

The Anderson Wheeler one go for what ? $6500 or more ?

The starting price for one of their Mark VII revolvers at release was £6,500, which puts it a bit over $11,000 CAD these days

Also where did you see them talking about a 9mm? I checked all of their social media and the Webley India website and al I can find is their .32 revolvers and pistol, as well as their .45 1911
