I have a 1970's Webley Premier air pistol in .22. It's in overall good condition, and I have the original box it came in. I have owned it since new.

Anyone any idea what it may be worth ? I haven't used it in years and am not likely to in the future. Prefer bigger bangs these days and need some cash to feed the habit.

Pics to follow.

Some pics would be most helpful in determining a value for you.
Just on the basis of the info you have presented thus far, it could be one of the later "mark I" series of Premiers, or it could be the Mark II series Premier.
Could make a substantive difference in the value, depending upon which it is.

What you have there is a very nice specimen of an "F" series, Mark I Premier, which should clean up very nicely with a bit of TLC.
The "F" series is the last of the Mark I series of Premiers, and the last of the forged steel frames.
The next model that Webley produced was the Mark II Premier, which had the steel main tube, set into a cast aluminum frame - a move which many Webley fans decried as the beginning of the end for Webley's reputation for quality.

You should easily be able to get anywhere in the $250 to $300 range for this gun, since it is complete with the original box, and associated paperwork.

Thanks leonardj,

I appreciate the help. I didn't even know there was a MkII. I thought the next model was a 'Tempest' or 'Typhoon' or something like that.. (Or maybe that was called 'Premier' outside the UK (??).

Quite welcome, TJ.

The Mark II Premier was the predecessor of the Hurricane and Typhoon models.
The Typhoon was a youth oriented model, with a lighter mainspring, and a slightly smaller grip than the Hurricane.

The Tempest was introduced a short while after the advent of the Hurricane to address the many requests received by the company for a return to the more compact size of the older Webleys.

Talljoe, You really don't need many more opinions on that. You can count on Leonards opinion as being bang on.
