I know the Mk1 Webley .455 revolver is a prescribed antique. What about the Mk2 and Mk3 Webleys?

Up to the Mk 4 were adopted before 1898. Mind you, there were Mk 3's and 4's made after that.

Actually, the Mark IV Webley was officially adopted 21 July 1899 ....

As already noted, only early-production Mark III Webleys (officially adopted 5 October 1897) qualify as "antique" in Canada.

I have an early "antique" MK III and it is a nice revolver but I keep looking for a WG or an Army version with a longer barrel in .455 or .476 in case anyone is itching to trade.

I have a .455/.450 Webley WG 'Target' revolver which is a deregistered antique .... but sorry, outdoors - it is likely one of the last of my handguns I'd be willing to part with ....

Not the prettiest thing, with the bluing rather the worse for wear, but of the numerous handguns I own (and have owned in the past) it is the most accurate and most pleasant to shoot!

GrantR,

I don't blame you. I've missed a few over the years but if I end up with just my MK III I am still in pretty good shape. I rather like the .455 cartridge.
