Webley Scott BLE 20g

I've seen 720's like this one offered for sale at up to $4000.00 but however I have never seen one to sell for that asking price. In the real world and in Canada I would expect to pay $3000.00 give or take a couple of hundred if the gun is excellent. The gun seems to have good colors but the photos are not very revealing as to the true condition.

Nathan, those are pretty strong colours. Has it been re-done? Looks like a Galazan case from the exterior but the interior looks too worn and with a different layout. I'm kinda with Grouser and Gunsaholic. I know I wouldn't go past $3000 for it.

Still, it looks like a nice gun.

In the shooting Sportsman there is one advertised in the Gun Vault on Fox Hill ad for $5500. So your est. is likey close John

The 700/720 WS has never been a greatly sought after piece and was not very highly regarded as some others in its class --- the same gun with another makers name in it would in all likelihood sell at a premium price. If you look at on line gun listings in the UK, you will note that they are priced lower than others when comparing conditions. Later produced guns with this model were made in Spain and stamped and proofed in UK. It is very difficult to tell the Spanish version from the Britt made. That being said, these guns are sound and are quite nice and lively in the hand.

Circa $3,000 would be my estimate too. 20 gauge makes it a little more desirable but some of the screws are slightly buggered. I'd suspect it was refinished too particularly the stock. This isn't a huge issue with English shotguns as they are often refinished. Stock dimensions are important too. In the UK 20 gauge guns were often purchased for women and children and have shorter LOP and I agree with Ahsan that the stock looks on the short side.
