Week And A Half Restricted Transfer -ONTARIO

I would have to hang my head in shame..................:redface:

He stands with his feet shoulder width apart, side by side.

First time I seen him shoot a 44 mag, he teetered back on his heels. One of the range officers of the event had to put his hand on my dads back to prevent him from falling over..................:(

When he shot his 475 Wildey.......................... The same thing but I had to push him back up.

Hope to see him shoot it before I move. Will be entertaining at the least. Just hope no one else is around at that time.
 
Got a Sig last week..took 2 days... However about 2 years ago they made me wait 8 weeks for a restricted... times seem to be all over the place..
 
Just cleared a bunch of restricteds and a CA in less than a week, even after they told me it would take 6 plus weeks. Will wonders never cease?
 
I should clarify that my papers arrived in th email in less than a week, so I assume that my transfers were done in a day or 2 at most.
 
Last one I sold to a buyer in Ontario [April-June 2008] took about 6 weeks. I hear things are getting faster now, though. :(

Last one I did via a dealer in BC since then was less than 24 hours. Private transfer, individual to individual, was about two days for approval. :cool:

Private transfer (ON to ON), S&W 627-5 Performance Center bought off the EE... Called to confirm transfer on Jul 20, seller shipped on the 31st and I got the revolver in the mail Mon the 4th. Received my cert. from the CFO today. So I figure ~10 days between the time I confirmed the transfer and the seller received notification of approval in the mail.

That is pretty damn fast, considering I sold a Walther P22 (ON to ON) in May and it took 7 weeks!!!

I'm going on 5 weeks for a transfer. My one before that was 8 weeks when I called and rattled a chain.

Now he thinks he's special.

And now I KNOW that someone, somewhere doesn't like me. :mad:

A friend did one and it took 2 days.
 
From my experience it looks like they speed it up if you are a competitive shooter. I called in and told them I bought my Glock for a CDP shoot that was happening at the end of the month and I received the approval within 6 days. So if you haven't joined IDPA, IPSC, PPC, ODPL, CDP, etc. there's as good a reason as any!

***Update***

Here is a shocker. Just got a call from Target Sports and my temp ATT is ready. So, basically two and a half days for a transfer, in Ontario yet! :dancingbanana::dancingbanana:
 
I just confirmed a transfer from another ON-ON deal. Transfer confirmed Aug 29th 2008. We'll see how long the CFO wastes on this one.

Maybe Fantino is on holiday and the staff work better with him not around. I sold two hand guns over two weeks ago (one a prohibited) and got clearence today. Then I spoke to a nice young lady who gave me an ATT number (to tranfer the guns to the post office) so quick I couldn't catch my breath. Maybe things are looking up.
Could it be perhaps Cam Wholley decided not to retire and is now in charge of the Ontario CPO office? (What a dream that would be)
